Viola Scaglione, Italy

Viola Scaglione was born in Torino, Italy. She studied at the School of the Balletto Teatro di Torino with Pasi Niminem, Jaqueline De Min, March de Bouais, Deborah Weaver among others. Her academic training continues in Washington DC (USA) at High On Dance School under

direction of Morren Basta. In London, she studied at the London Contemporary School and later at the Conservatoire de Boulogne in Paris guided by Rouxandra Racovitza. Viola joins Balletto Teatro di Torino as soloist performing works of Nina Viroubova, Loris Gai, James Urbain. She is first role in Loris Petrillo’s “Romeo e Giulietta , Jose Limon’s “There is the time”, Fabrizio Monteverde’s “Mirra”, Karole Armitage’s “Casanova” and she plays the principal female role in the “Mandarino Meraviglioso” created by Gigi Caciuleanau. After this time in Torino, Viola moves to Madrid where she join La Piel Company directed by Jose Reches. Meanwhile, she collaborates as dancer for Teatro Regio of Torino. From 2002, Viola is back in Balletto Teatro di Torino and from 2015 she is Co-Artistic Director with the founder Loredana Furno.

 

Flavio Feruzzi, Italy

Flavio Ferruzzi was born in Napoli, Italy. In 2012, Flavio graduates in the prestigious ballet school Teatro San Carlo in Napoli. Immediately, he join the corp de ballet and performs in the production of Roland Petit’s “Il Pipistrello”, in Luciano Cannito’s “Lo Schiaccianoci” and in the Alexei Fadeyechev version of “Don Quixote”. His approach to contemporary dance starts in 2011 with Carolyn Carlson, that later choose Flavio for her creation “Poetry Events”. Flavio continues his training in contemporary with Susanna Sastro (Bejart Ballet), Nicola Monaco (Akram Khan), Marco Augusto Chenevier, James Finnemore, Sita Ostheimer (Hofesh Shecter), Vittorio Bertolli (David Zambrano), Emanuel Gat , Natalia Vallebona, Michela Lucenti , Francesca Caroti, Dimitris Papaioannou. Flavio collaborates with companies from Napoli as Kroper and Interno5. In 2016, he performs in Ravello Dance Festival in the productions of Dimitris Papaionnau and Emanuel Gat. From April 2017, Flavio is part of Balletto Teatro di Torino.

 

Hillel Perlman, Israel

Hillel Perlman was born in Haifa, Israel. He begins his professional dance training at Reut School of the Arts and Maslool Dance Program. In the program he had chance to work close with Yasmin Goder, Itzik Galili, Idan Sharabi, Batcheva Dance Company and many other international and Israeli choreographers. He recieves consecutively for two years, the scholarship for American Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive, in New Yor where he trained with prestigious teacher. Later, he takes part in Netherland Dance Theatre Summer Intensive. He has been in the creation of Niv Schrinfeld’s and Oren Laor’s “Runway” and “You Happy Puppet” performing in Tmuna Theatre in Tel Aviv and touring across Israel. In 2015, Hillel is selected for Itzik Galili’s “Man of the Hour” , production born from the collaboration between Suzanne Dellal Center and The Israeli Opera. The creation runs internationally among Holland Dance Festival and Context Dance Festival in Moscow. In February 2017, Hillel joins in the production of the director Stefano Poda for “ Faust” performing in the Israeli Opera. From April 2017, Hillel is part of Balletto Teatro di Torino, Italy.

 

Wilma Puentes-Linares, Spain

Wilma Puentes Linares was born in Granada (Spain). She started dance at five years old and in 2000 she joined the Professional Dance Conservatory of Granada. In 2010 she was admitted to the Rudra-Bejart School of Lausanne. She continued her dance career at the Conservatorio Superior “Maria de Ávila” de Madrid. In 2012 Wilma worked with the CaraBdanza Company, performing across Spain. In 2013 she joins the Ballet Preljocaj directed by Angelin Preljocaj for the production of “ The Nights”, “And then 1000 years of Peace” and “Snow White”. From December 2015, Wilma is part of Balletto Teatro di Torino.

 

Lisa Mariani, Italy

Lisa Mariani was born in Cremona, Italy. She approach ballet at the age of 4 in her hometown. At 10, she is accepted in “Scuola Balletto Classico” directed by Liliana Cosi and Marinel Stefanescu and later at “Balletto di Toscana” under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini. At 8 years old, Lisa works for RAI Television, dancing in “Disney Club” a children television competition. In 2013 Lisa recieves a scholarship from Igal Perry, director of Peridance Capezio Center in New York City, where she graduate with “Honors and Excellence in Contemporary Dance”. Between Italy and USA, Lisa takes part in prestigious workshops and intensives, among them William Forsythe Tecnique, Hofesh Schecter, Azure Barton, Netherlands Dance Theatre, Sidra Bell Dance NYC, CedarLake Contemporary Ballet,Wayne McGregor Random Dance, Gaga Intensive and Parsons Dance Company. Lisa performes choreographies of William Forsythe, David Parsons, Desmond Richardson, Robert Battle, Igal Perry, Marlena Wolf, Gregory Dolbashian, Cindy Salgado, Cheryl Copeland and Charlotta Ovferholm. In 2015, she join Parsons Dance Company (NYC) directed by David Parsons as apprentice. In the same year Lisa works with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (NYC) directed by Igal Perry. As freelance dancer, Lisa performes for BitterSuite (UK), Azul Dance Theatre (NYC),Ikada Contemporary Dance (NYC), NSDanza (Spain) , CollaboratSin (NYC), and CaptiveFlowDance(NYC). From April 2017, Lisa is part of Balletto Teatro di Torino.

 

Julia Rausch, France

Julia Rauch was born in 1992 in Paris, France. In 2015, she started dancing at 13 years old in a private school in Annecy, France. She studied ballet at the Conservatoire Supérieur of Paris in 2008 and graduated in 2012. In the same year, Julia received the interpretation award performing the Mats Ek duet "Appartement".She joined Europa Dance Company, a neo-classical company in Paris, and went on tour around France and abroad.  In 2014, she started working with IT Dansa in Barcelona, Spain. She performed pieces from Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, and Ina Christel Johannessen. Julia joined the Balletto Teatro di Torino in 2015. She performed pieces from Marco de Alteriis, Itzik Galili, and Renata Sheppard. She is currently working with Ephemera Dance Company in Berlin, Germany, on the creation of "Kairos".

 

Emmanuel Malette, North Carolina

Emmanuel Malette (Greenville, NC) is the director for Showtime Dance Production Company. He began his dance training at the age of 13, taking summer classes available at his home church. As the urge to learn about dance arose within him, he joined the Katura Production Company in 2009. Emmanuel received much of his training in many street styles. Emmanuel auditioned for the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There, Emmanuel had the opportunity to perform and learn from many great teachers such as: Duane Cyrus, BJ Sullivan, Janet Lilly, and others. He has also had the opportunity to perform at the John F Kennedy Center for performing Arts.

 

Emanuele (Manu) Piras, Italy

Emanuele Piras was born in Sassari, Italy. His approach in contemporary dance begins with Belfiore School in Torino, and meanwhile his interest in experimental theatre grows thanks to the collaboration with the actor Marco Alotto. In 2014, Emanuele moves to Vancouver (Canada) collaborating as assistant director with Vancouver Opera House . Back in Italy, he takes part in festivals as “Lingue in Scena”in Rovereto (Italy) and “Interplay”in Torino (Italy). In 2016 Emanuele reaches the final positions of Capo Largo Call (Italy) , a national residency for music video, as performer and assistant director. In the same year, Emanuele is in the Academy of Fine Arts, Accademia Albertina di Torino, feeding a deep focus in performing arts and new communication languages. In 2017, Emanuele is selected among many young artists for “Space, Time, Nothing”, a site- specific performance, created by Franko B in Rejkjavik (Iceland). From January 2017, Emanuele is part of Balletto Teatro di Torino.

 

Christina Ricucci, California

Dancer, singer and actress, Christina Ricucci, 18, lives in Los Angeles California,

where she trains extensively in ballet, contemporary and jazz, as well as lyrical, tap, hip hop and musical theater. She also teaches contemporary dance in Southern California and in nationwide workshops. Christina is a 7-time National Champion soloist, and toured the United States and Canada as a demonstrator with both the JUMP and NUVO Dance Conventions, and was awarded the National Title of “Best Dancer” from the Dance Awards. Christina furthered her training at intensives at The Juilliard School, Nederlands Dans Theater, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Hubbard Street Contemporary Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Martha Graham, Limon, Batsheva/Gaga, Marquee Musical Theater intensive and the NYCDA Winter Intensive at the Juilliard School. She has appeared on the covers of both Dance Spirit Magazine, as their Cover Model Winner and Inside Dance Magazine. She represents Capezio as a Capezio Athlete. She will be appearing in the soon to be released TV series “Adopted”. 

 

Nicole Lorah, Virginia

Born in Newport News, VA, Nicole began dance and gymnastics training at the age of three. She studied classical ballet and other forms of dance at Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts under the tutelage of Sandra Balestracci and Adrienne Dellas-Thornton, who she also studied under at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., along with studying under Ludmilla Morkovina. She began vocal training at fourteen, and she has also dabbled in circus arts including aerial hoop, silk tissu, hand-balancing, and hand-to-hand. She attended Christopher Newport University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Concentration in Religious Studies and a Minor in Dance. She has performed with the Virginia Opera, Busch Gardens, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Virginia Musical Theatre and Todd Rosenlieb Dance. She is the creator of NEON Dance Project and Tidewater Acro Project, a social media project designed to build community and encourage creativity while incorporating acro, yoga, dance and visual arts. She also enjoys knitting and crocheting and volunteers as a NICU cuddler at CHKD where she also makes and donates baby hats.

Bakhan Jo, Korea

Bakhan Jo graduated seoul institute of the arts two times. First, majored poemtry(korean) second majored acting. Trained Sungmi jo's ballet company in 2 years and trained 2 year for contemporart dance by Hobin Park. And trauned pakour for 3 month in Pakour generation in Korea. Had a workshop at mandala company in italy, with kyokoto tomohiko, with Jinyeab-Choi. Worked at few short film. Had several diffrent rolls on theater and on performance. Inclouding performance in Spoleto festivale in due mondi 2015. Performed two diffrent performances. One of them is site specific project with stephan kopolawix 'In-ight Out'. Worked as performer. In the other permance, 'Voci Della Terra - Terremoto'(Voice From The Rarth - Earthquake). Directed, made careo, and performed. Performed with precious korean dancer Yonce An In 2016, played as actor and performer in 'Gyoung-hye' In 2017, played as actor 'Fas' and 'A Death of Sailsman' Played as a performer 'The Actiong Of God', 'Industry' and 'Chajiwuimulhwa' (Sang-uk jo's exhibitiin.)
